THE STORY OF The Curler's Rest

Close to both Kelvingrove and the Botanical Gardens, the history of the Curlers Rest, or Curlers Tavern as it was formerly known, stretches back to the 17th Century, when every winter curlers would come to play on the ice of a nearby pond.

Housed in a two-storey cottage building with exposed brick and stripped wooden floors, this cosy and welcoming pub combines a smart upstairs eating area and traditional downstairs bar, complete with roaring open fire for those Scottish winter days.

With a function room for private hire, The Curlers Rest reflects the upbeat vibe of its West End neighbourhood, providing a haven of refreshment in Glasgow’s city centre whilst keeping the authenticity of a true Scottish local at its heart.
